OUR REGIONAL ASSOCIATION
Shortly after the founding of the People's Party of Canada, Electoral District Associations were quickly established across Canada; the Electoral District Associations of Red Deer--Mountain View & Red Deer--Lacombe being among them.
During the 2019 campaign, board members and volunteers of the two federal ridings often found themselves efficiently working hand in hand with one another. From organizing town halls and rallies, to door knocking with each others candidates, members of the two ridings quickly became a family of one.
It is this closeness, both geographically and in spirit, that led us to amalgamate the two Electoral District Associations into one Regional Association, during our Annual General Meeting in September, 2020.
Due to the foreseeable changes of the boundaries of federal ridings within Alberta, the Regional Association of Red Deer--Mountain View--Lacombe voted - in November 2023 - to also oversee the federal riding of Yellowhead.
As of that date, we are now one board overseeing the activity of three federal ridings.
